Graig Arcuri, an instructor of finance from SUNY Oswego was a recent guest of Oswego Rotary where he spoke about another hat he wears in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in Oswego.
Dr. Arcuri explained what the Auxiliary does, the large area their sector covers in the northeast and what a regular routine might look like for someone in the Auxiliary. Members frequently aid in Search and Rescue operations, vessel inspections and boater education. Auxiliary members locally assist with Harborfest and additionally are charge with assisting the Coast Guard with enhanced safety and security of our port and waterways.
