Families from all over Central New York came to participate in the Guinness World Record Breaking attempt and the Healthy Baby Expo. There were 50 mom and baby pairs who qualified this year towards the Guinness World Record Breaking attempt, doubling the participation from last year.
What is more...Oswego was the largest host site of the three hosted in Central New York. Way to go OSWEGO!
Oswego participated in this international event with 182 other locations across 15 countries claiming a new world record of 8,301 babies changed into cloth diapers at one time. The official confirmation of the new Guinness Record was validated Tuesday, May 6, 2013. The unofficial 2013 total from all locations including events that did not qualify per stringent Guinness regulations and sites with less than 25 in attendance is actually 10,029.
It is estimated that more than 500 people attended the Healthy Baby Expo that featured more than 30 vendors, exhibitors and presenters, traveling exhibits from the Children's Museum of Oswego, guest emcee, Skip Clark from Wolf Country 105.1 with guest appearance from Howler.
