At the February meeting of the local chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) curator Michael Pittavino of the H. Lee White Maritime Museum presented a talk on the Oswego Canal.

Pittavino used images and items from the Museum’s archives to highlight the importance of the Oswego Canal and its impact on economic development in Oswego County communities along the canal. The New York State Barge Canal System is celebrating its 200 year anniversary and is a National Historic Landmark.
