Wondering about the history of the towns around Oswego? The Oswego Public Library is offering an excellent opportunity to view the history of the Town & Village of Hannibal. Town & Village Historian Lowell Newvine will be offering a slide & PowerPoint program on Hannibal's past in the Erik & Emily Cole Community Room of the Oswego Public Library on Saturday, May 3 from 1-2 pm. Newvine is the Historian for the Hannibal Historical Society and served three terms as Hannibal Village Mayor. He has compiled two books "Hannibal History in Pictures and Prose" and "Pictorial History of Hannibal, NY". This is the second of the library's presentations of "Looking around our communities in Oswego County".
