Helen C. Henderson, 91, a resident of Oswego passed away on May 20 at her home with her family by her side.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Harley and Helen (Carey) James. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School and the Oswego High School.
She was employed with the Pontiac Nursing Home and Laborer's Local #214.
Helen was a member of the VFW # 5885 Ladies Auxiliary and the Oswego Moose Lodge. She was an avid bingo player who enjoyed reading, crocheting and traveling.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Rick) Hulse of Copperstown, Patti Roy of Oswego, a son, David (Nancy) Henderson Jr. of Oswego, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, David Henderson Sr., two brothers, Harley "Bill" James, Francis Joseph James, two sisters, Laurraine Jadus and Theresa Bristol.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 from St.Mary's Church.
Entombment will be in All Saint's Mausoleum.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity choice.
