Nathan Emmons and Amy Murphy of the City of Oswego's Office of Economic Development met with several local small business owners on Wednesday evening to discuss working together to promote our small businesses during the coming holiday season.
This meeting, the group's third get-together, was held to firm up plans for several city-wide promotions in the coming weeks. These promotions include Open House Week (Nov.15-22), a coupon exchange flyer, the annual Black Friday and Small Business Saturday celebrations, and Home For The Holidays Weekend (Dec. 4-6).
Sara Broadwell from the Chamber of Commerce discussed the Small Business Stroll, a series of visits to local small businesses highlighting their holiday promotions.
"Everyone has felt the effects of the Covid19 crisis this year, and having a successful last two months of the year could help to end 2020 on a high note" said Emmons. "We are here to do whatever we can to help make that happen."
The group set the date for the next meeting on November 10 at 8:15am.
