Oswego Music Hall has The Hook Songwriter Series, with John McConnell and Cam Caruso coordinating (also emceeing) on Friday, February 3.
Mike Place, Caitie Dawson, and Erik Mosher will share the stage beginning at 7:30 PM; doors opening at 7:00 PM.
Mike Place is an Oswego, NY-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer best known for his work with CNY southern jam favorites Frostbit Blue and 70's/80's arena rockers Off the Reservation as well as his eclectic solo acoustic shows. His songs are a virtual melting pot of American musical styles drawing on such diverse influences as LA fusion and glam metal, Texas blues, Motown, Greenwich Village folk, big band jazz, swamp rock, Afro-Cuban rhythms, Nashville twang, rockabilly, Toronto prog and New Orleans piano funk. Place is currently in varying pre-production phases on the long awaited 3rd Frostbit Blue, Off the Reservation's debut and a NOLA-style solo album. New York native Caitie Dawson's soulful vocals cannot be easily ignored. She started singing at age twelve for her church worship band, and began writing music in 2012. Her songs are inspired by life experiences with faith, life and relationships. Caitie entered the Oswego music scene starting in 2021 performing at an open mic and then started performing at various local venues. You'll most likely find her playing pop covers, but has a deep love for lyricism and rock music. For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/caitiedawsonmusic/.
Oswego native Erik Mosher has been performing in CNY for 20 years. He has been consistently involved in many local musical projects including his band The Dust Creatures, and also singing with his partner Gina Mazzoli. His self-taught guitar style and homespun poetry make for a very unique singer/songwriter sound. For more information visit https://m.facebook.com/erik.mosher1/.
