Write a commentFirst-grade classes at Minetto Elementary School have been working on a service project to send homemade cookies to troops in Afghanistan.
The cookies, baked by families and staff, arrived at the school Wednesday.
Students made pictures to wrap around Pringles cans for the cookies to be shipped in. The entire Minetto family has helped by collecting cans, baking cookies and donating money for shipping.
First-grade teachers Doreen Bednarski, Karen Poole, Barb Buske and Pamela Delfino coordinated the effort.
