Write a commentOswego County Legislature’s Infrastructure, Facilities and Technology Committee held its August meeting at the county Highway Department’s asphalt mix plant in Hastings.
The group toured the facility to observe rehabilitation efforts that have taken place at the plant over the last year. Work included the installation of new components such as two asphalt tanks, a drum and furnaces, control panels and an electrical upgrade. The silos and slat conveyor were re-built as well. All these improvements mean a significant reduction in wait times for trucks to load asphalt, which makes each run more efficient and cost-saving
