It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Trisha Lynn Pittsley, who left this world far too soon on at the age of 60.
A radiant soul with a free spirit, Trisha brought laughter, love, and light into every life she touched.
Known for her fun-loving nature and infectious sense of humor, Trisha had a rare gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. Her kind, tender heart made her a safe harbor for both people and animals alike—especially her beloved cats, who were never far from her side.
Nature was her sanctuary, and she found joy in the simple beauty of a walk in the woods, the sound of birdsong, or the peaceful stillness of a quiet morning. She lived life on her own terms, full of curiosity and compassion, always seeking out wonder in the world around her.
Above all, Trisha was deeply devoted to her family. Whether celebrating milestones or just spending time together, she made sure everyone felt loved and included. Her warmth, generosity, and unique spirit will be missed more than words can express.
Though her time with us was far too short, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her loving mother and step father- Richard and Darlene Pittsley, and step sister Diane Lindquist.
She is survived by her father Carl Cortright, her son Christopher Shaw, half-brothers Todd Pittsley and Bill and John Cortright, half-sisters Christine Cortright-Otero, and Darlene Cortright MacDonald as well as her beautiful grandchildren: Kamilyn Shaw, Dakota Ingersoll and Brittany Shaw.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00-6:00 at the Dowdle Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fruit Valley Veterinary Clinic in Oswego NY in her memory.
