Two students at Kingsford Park Elementary School in Oswego recently received prizes from Compass Credit Union as part of "National Credit Union Youth Month" in April. The credit union offered free gifts, prize drawings and other incentives to youth members to encourage them to save.

In the photo, from left to right, are Jackie Wiegand, marketing administrator for Compass; Logan Mathews, 9, who won a Compass Visa gift card; Blake Uribe, 10, who won four free passes to Darien Lake; and Kingsford Principal Mary Volkomer.

Other prize-drawing winners were Hunter Joseph, 5, of Minetto Elementary School and Megan DeLong, 12, of Oswego Middle School, who both won free Oswego Cinema movie passes. Also winning Visa gift cards were Caitlyn Colasurdo, 6, of Trinity Catholic School, and Mitchell Treasure, 7, of Riley Elementary School. Compass also held an in-house contest to see who could guess the number of pennies in a tall, tubular container. The winners of those contests were Nate Distin, 13, who won the pennies ($26.50), and Terrie Woods, an adult member of Compass, who won a $50 Visa card.
