Indivisible - Oswego County will hold a community meeting Saturday, May 10 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 43 E. Third St., Oswego. All are invited to attend.

The meeting will focus on the federal government's immigration crackdown. Attendees will also learn how they can make their voices heard on issues and participate in efforts to support democracy.

Indivisible - Oswego County is an all-volunteer, grassroots-supported affiliate of the national Indivisible movement, which exists to fight for democracy and the rule of law. Hundreds of people have taken part in the group's weekly pro-democracy demonstrations in downtown Oswego, have participated in writing letters and making calls to their elected representatives and have helped to encourage supporters of democracy to run for elected office.

"Our movement grows stronger every week and our voices grow louder in support of the democratic rules and institutions that have made America truly great," said Paul McKinney, Indivisible - Oswego County's facilitator. "Together, we can push for change and combat the feeling of helplessness that comes with wave after wave of daily outrages. Join us Saturday and learn how you can help."

Indivisible - Oswego County will hold its weekly Bridge Walk demonstration that morning, from 10 - 11 a.m. on the Bridge Street bridge in downtown Oswego. The focus will be on environmental issues.
