James J. Duplessis, 77, a resident of Scriba and Florida, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at home.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Rys) Duplessis.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
James retired as an electrician for local I.B.E.W. #328.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by a daughter, Michele (Jamie) Torbitt, of Oswego; two sons, Michael (Kim) Duplessis and Mark Duplessis, both of Oswego; one brother, Joseph M. (Marion) Duplessis Jr., of Oswego; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn (Gauthier) Duplessis, in 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Minetto.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Elizabethtown, NY.
Calling hours are from 4-7 p.m. Friday, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
