Obituaries

     James L. O'Leary Jr., 52, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.      Jimmer was raised in Oswego and worked for many years in Syracuse.
     He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bicycling, kayaking, fishing and camping through all seasons. He was a carefree light and will be missed by everyone he touched.
     He is survived by his twin children, Christopher and Alyson O'Leary (Diane Johnson); his mother, Barbara O'Leary (Hamilton); his brother, Michael (Susan) O'Leary, of Red Creek; and sisters, Michele Batchelor (Tom Hopkins) and Karen Baker, both of Oswego; several nieces and nephews, Scott Baker, of Oswego, Kevin Baker (Janet), of Mannsville, Kathleen Baker, Trisha Flores (Pedro), Timothy Batchelor and Melissa Batchelor, all of Oswego, Amanda Gardner (Christian), of Syracuse, Gavin O'Leary, Kiara O'Leary, Torin O'Leary and Bryan Baker, all of Red Creek; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
     He was predeceased by his father, James L. O'Leary; and brother, Dennis O'Leary.
     Calling hours will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
