Obituaries

James Pfeifer Sr., 93, a resident of County Route 6 in the town of Volney, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, in Oswego.

Mr. Pfeifer was born in Minetto, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Routcliffe) Pfeifer. He was a life resident of the area.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Master Refiner at the Nestle Corp. in Fulton.

He was the husband of the late Joan (Zeller) Pfeifer.

He is survived by a daughter, Judy (Dan) Powers of Fulton; a son, James (Jackie) Pfeifer of Scriba; two sisters, Irene Rebeor of Greenville, NY, and Sally Pfeifer of Virginia; and five grandchildren, Shannon Mekker, Kimberly Echeverry, Christopher Powers, Jessica Pfeifer, Brianna Pfeifer along with several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Pfeifer.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
