JamesJane 02     Jane L. James, 84, a resident of Simeon-Dewitt Apartments in Oswego, passed away Saturday, at University Hospital in Syracuse.

     Jane was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late John and Hilda (Wallace) Victory. She was a life resident. She was the wife of the late Harley W. "Bill" James, who died in 2008. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Kline's Department in Oswego. Jane was a member of the American Legion Post #268 Auxiliary, and the VFW Post #5885 Auxiliary. She was a member of the Oswego Women's Bowling Hall of Fame. Jane was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Oswego.

     She is survived by a daughter Sandra (Samuel) Froio of Fulton; two sons, Robert "Bill" (Linda) James of Gilbert Mills, Arizona, and Thomas (Mary Jane) James of Oswego; a brother, Robert Victory of Oswego; a sister, Bernice Allen of Oswego; five grandchildren, Tracey, Robbie, Tanya, Sam, and TJ; eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Joshua, Madison, Karissa, Kaylon, RJ, and Kylie; and several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Victory and Frederick Victory.

     Funeral services will be held at 9:00am Thursday, in St. Mary's Church, Oswego.

     Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

     Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 Wednesday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
