At the Races

     After one week off due to extensive rain showers last Friday night, Oswego Kartway went green once again on May 31 in full force, with 84 total entries pulling through the pit gates.

     The Stock Light division saw Jason Farrell, Derrick Cutway and Chris Natoli make their return to the Bull Ring as a part of the eight kart field. Natoli would lead early on behind the wheel of his new Slack Axiom No. 33, but eventually Farrell would find the top spot driving No. 8.

     Farrell, who set fast time in both Stock Heavy and Stock Light during the 2012 running of the Oswego Kartway Classic, would cruise on to the victory over the final laps to record his first win of the season in his first start. Natoli would try to hold onto second until a flat right rear tire forced the kart to pick up a push condition helping Cutway and Jake Sivers to slide by, finishing second and third. Craig Reith would round out the top five finishers.

     Other Kartway feature winners on the night include Joshua Ostrander (Sr. Blue Clone), Dylan Trump (Jr. Silver Clone), Alex Losurdo (Jr. Blue Clone), Brandon Demling (Gold Plate), Dan Kapuscinski (Stock Heavy), Joe Hayden (Clone Heavy), Cris Lane (Animal), Corey Norton (Open), Takota Jacobson (Clone Light) and Mike Dessimone (Clone Super Heavy).

     The Kartway's next event will be Friday, June 7, with its fourth point event of the 2013 season. Just one week after that the Bull Ring will host the annual 'King of the Kartway' events, with trophies on the line for feature wins.

     Pit gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with hot laps beginning at 6:30 p.m. The night's first green flag will be scheduled for 7:30 p.m, June 7.
