Write a commentJeanne C. Berlin, 83 of Oswego passed away Tuesday.
Jean was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Peter E. and Helen Lass Chetney.
She was the widow of the late Thomas J. Berlin who died in 1998.
Mrs. Berlin had been employed for many years as the Administrative Assistant to several Fire Chiefs in the Oswego City Fire Department.
Jean was always active in the community and served on the Oswego County Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. She enjoyed golf, bowling and was an avid quilter. She was a member of the Scriba Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Berlin is survived by one son, Kurt (Shari) Berlin of Natural Bridge, one brother Daniel R. (Margaret) Chetney of Oswego, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a daughter Liza Berlin who died in 2008.
Calling hours will be from 3-5PM on Thursday April 24, followed by a Memorial Service at 5PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Private burial services will be in Riverside Cemetery.
