Jennie A. Halpin, 88 of Syracuse and formerly of Minetto passed away Saturday at Upstate University Community Campus Hospital.
She was born in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late Bartolo and Mary Grace DeStephano Biancavilla. She was the widow of Robert G. Halpin who died in 1996. Mrs. Halpin was a resident of Minetto for many years until moving to Syracuse several years ago. She had been employed at Long's Candy works for many years as a typist.
She is survived by two daughters Linda (Daniel) Walker of Syracuse, Pamela ( Daniel) O'Neill of Fairport, four grandchildren, Allison Walker, Whitney Walker, Emily O'Neill, Maggie O'Neill and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Halpin was predeceased by a daughter Susan Halpin in 1957.
Funeral services will be held 9:30AM Wednesday from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 10:00AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Church. Calling hours will be 4:00-7:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery
