Write a commentJoan Archambo, 81, a resident of Sabin Road, Oswego, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Syracuse, she was a daughter of the late James P. Archambo and Mabel Ellen (Warden) Archambo.
Joan worked as a retail clerk for Barry's, in Oswego, and formerly worked for Kline's Department Store.
She was a member of the Southwest Oswego United Methodist Church; she was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling and planning trips and was an avid reader.
Joan is survived by her three brothers, Ronald (Alice) Archambo, of Melbourne, Fla., Robert (Florence Froats) Archambo, of West Melbourne, Fla., and Gary (Paula) Felt, of Colchester, Conn.; one sister, Shirley Felt, of Oswego; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, March 2, from Nelson Funeral Home.
Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, prior to the service.
