John Edward Budd, 91, a resident of Oswego, passed away Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Luke Health Services.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late George F. and Mary (Carter) Budd.
Budd was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during World War II and the Pacific Theater.
He was an electrician for the local #328 working at Nine Mile 1 and 2 and at SUNY Oswego.
He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting.
Surviving is his wife of 73 years, Jean (Butler) Budd; a daughter, Barbara (Frederick) Shuler, of Baldwinsville; grandson, Dr. Frederick Shuler, of Hartford, Conn,; three great grandchildren, Jennifer, John and Matthew Shuler; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur and George Budd; and a sister, Helen Haag.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 4, at St. Mary's Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held 10-11 a.m., Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
