John J. "Tim" Pelkey, 84, of Oswego, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013.
He was born in Oswego and was a son of the late James W. and Luella Steele Pelkey.
He was the husband of the late Patricia Duguay Pelkey.
Mr. Pelkey had been employed on many local construction projects and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 747 for many years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and also served in the SeaBees.
Mr. Pelkey is survived by granddaughters, Rebecca (Thomas) Smith, of Oswego and Sarah (Brian Sobus) Pelkey, of Fulton; great grandchildren, Jordan and Lily Jean; a sister in-law, Shelia Furletti; a son, Patrick (Debbie) Pelkey, of Oswego; granddaughter, Susan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Patricia, he predeceased by two sons, Timothy (Helen Gordon) Pelkey and Matthew Pelkey; and five brothers
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. from St. Paul's Church.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
