Write a commentJohn M. Oswald, 85, a resident of Oswego, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at St. Luke Health Services.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Arthur and Catherine (Lacy) Oswald.
He was an U.S. Navy Veteran.
He was employed for State Parks and Recreation and Historic Preservation at Fort Ontario.
He enjoyed spending time at home and with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Helen (Crimmins) Oswald; a son, Mark (Carol) Oswald, of Oswego; two sisters, Joan Rice of, Texas, and Shirley Harmon, of Oswego; one grandson, Michael Oswald; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Charles "Kent" Oswald.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, from the Nelson Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Calling hours are 3-5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home, 11 W. Albany St., in Oswego.
