John T. Burns, 62 of Oswego passed away Sunday at his home.
He was born in Oswego on July 17, 1951 and was the son of the late Robert T. and Rita J. Guernsey Wallace.
He is survived by his wife, Julia A. (Pilon) Burns, six children Scott (Kim) Pilon of Solvay, Anthony (Linda) Burns of Hinesville, GA, Eric (Cathy) Burns, Erin Burns, Judith Burns and Alexia Burns all of Oswego, grandchildren, Danielle Pilon, Josh Pilon, Emilie Beginski, Colin Burns, John D. Morley, Alexander Burns, Mikayla Pilon, John M. Burns, Mariah Morley, Austin Pilon, Dunkin Bishop, Hailey Bishop, one great grandchild, Andrew Lee Wallace, siblings, Thomas(Laurie) Burns of Minetto, Paul (Belinda) Burns of New Haven, Patricia Hyde of Scriba, Tammie (Dana) Hollister of Oswego, mother in-law Bernadette Pilon of Oswego, Brother's In-law, William Pilon of Hinesville, GA, James(Jill) Pilon of Oswego, special extended family, Jill, David and Devin Allen, Alica Bishop, and the "First Wives Club" Carol Pilon, Cindy Morley and Deirdre Burns.
Mr. Burns was predeceased by a brother Robert Burns, a sister Bonnie Lomrie and father in-law Clarence "Bud" Pilon.
John was a devoted family man who will be remembered for the lives he touched with generosity and kindness.
Funeral services will be 9:30AM Satruday from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 10:00AM in St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hour Thursday4-7PM and Friday 4-7PM at the funeral home.
