On Tuesday, Oct. 29, Women's Network for Entrepreneurial Training (WNET) and SUNY Oswego's Office of Business and Community Relations (OBCR) will gather women from across New York State for Connections, a day-long conference to be held at River Vista Center in Fulton from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"This day-long symposium is something you won't want to miss," said Connections co-chair, Evelyn LiVoti. "The theme for this year's event is "Connect – Pursue – Advance" and will feature several dynamic speakers, networking opportunities, continental breakfast, lunch, a dessert reception and a women's marketplace."
Joleene DesRosiers Moody, of Joleene Speaks, will present, "Service, Money & Self-Love: The Remedy To Your 'Stuckness.'" In this dynamic 45-minute presentation, learn the difference between selling and service – and how coming from a place of service can grow your clientele drastically. Moody will also discuss how your thoughts and language around money need to change right now. And to wrap it all up, discover how to move from self-loathing to self-love so that you can effectively grow your business, your relationships and YOU.
Again this year, headshots will be offered by Dayger Photography, with no sitting fee. Hair and make-up touch-ups will also be available.
New this year, we are featuring Bee-Hive Networking. There are no elevator speeches, no selling and no fears or discomforts. Each attendee could walk away with an average of 12-20 cards of qualified prospects who want to meet them. Come "catch the buzz" at the Bee-Hive Networking Game. Please be sure to come armed with 100 business cards.
Major sponsors to date include NBT Bank, Operation Oswego County, SUNY Oswego's Office of Business and Community Relations (OBCR), SUNY Oswego Phoenix Center and Women's Network for Entrepreneurial Training (WNET).
Early-bird tickets are $55, now through Sept. 30, and are available through the Tyler Hall Box Office, tickets.oswego.edu.
