Three students from Kingsford Park Elementary School have qualified for the Scripps National Spelling Bee Regional Finals and will compete with other top spellers from around the district for a trip to Washington, D.C.
Sixth-grader Victor Sabirianov claimed the top spot for the KPS spelling bee and will be joined by fourth-grader Daniel Buske and fifth-grader Audrey Donovan in the Regional Finals to be held March 17 at Oswego High School.
The winner of the Regional Finals will secure a spot in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, held in Washington, D.C. and televised nationally.
