"La Parrilla lives up to their motto 'Think globally, act locally.'"
My boyfriend took me out on a date to La Parrilla.
I was really excited because I had never been there before and I wanted something different. La Parrilla is a Mediterranean-style bistro and they get all of their ingredients locally. They are living up to their motto "Think globally, act locally."
For a starter, we each had an empanada that was stuffed with some sauce, cheese and the yummiest pepperoni I've ever had. For our main course, we had their chicken wings with some of their white barbecue sauce and a pizza bianco, or white pizza. For dessert, we each had one of their strawberry tarts and it was amazing. I want to know where they buy their strawberries. Those strawberries were too good for an out-of-season fruit.
The environment is so friendly. I was a little unsettled about the close seating, but it really makes for a good time. Especially when you start joking and are able to strike up easy conversation with the people sitting right next to you.
