Lakeside Artisans will hold a community open house from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 29 to kick off the fall season and recognize the retirement of founding members Tim Ames and Michele Southgate.

Refreshments and door prizes will be featured for visitors to the open house.

All members of the community are invited to visit the Lakeside Artisans’ shop at 191 West 1st St. in the Canal Commons to recognize Tim and Michele’s success in creating the premier fine art and gift shop in the region. Since winning the “Next Great Idea” competition from Operation Oswego County in 2010, they have built Lakeside Artisans into a thriving cooperative of more than 20 diverse artists and craftspeople. Their tireless efforts over the past five years have been a key factor in the resurgence of our energetic downtown.

The event will also mark the beginning of the fall shopping season at Lakeside Artisans. Special pricing of selected items will be available in November. Lakeside Artisans offers hundreds of one-of-a-kind, original fine art paintings, prints, glass work, Cranky Cat collectables, woodwork, ceramics, jewelry, fabric art and much more.
