With games scheduled to start Thursday, June 28, high school boys interested in playing indoor box lacrosse this summer are invited to the Fort Ontario rink this Thursday from 5:30-6:30 PM for final registration, a review of rules, a meeting for the GMs, and a pick-up game if enough players show up.
The league is for boys finishing grades 8-12; games will be played on Thursday evenings starting June 28 and finishing up with playoffs and championship on August 9.
A live draft took place last week, but additional players are welcome to register by this Thursday. Each team is expected to have 10-12 players. No experience is necessary, and loaner equipment will be available. Games will be played 6 vs. 6 (including the goalie) and no long sticks are allowed.
Registration also allows for participation in weekly pick-up games in the outdoor box.
The league is sponsored by the Oswego Lacrosse Club. For more information, registration forms, etc, call or email Doc Nelson (343-9344 or rnelson2@twcny.rr.com) or Dan Witmer (529-5154 or daniel.witmer@oswego.edu).
