Write a commentUnited Way of Greater Oswego County’s Annual Golf Tournament is only weeks away and is welcoming a number of new companies who have stepped up to lend support to United Way.
New sponsors for this year’s United Way Golf Tournament include Barnhart Crane and Rigging; AmeriGas Propane; Penske Logistics, and Pathfinder Bank. “I’m overwhelmed by the outpouring of support we have received for our golf tournament,” said United Way Resource Development Director Ali McGrath. “I am pleased to say that we are welcoming a number of new sponsors along with several returning sponsors to the tournament and we are very appreciative of their commitment to United Way.”
These new sponsors are joining a list of dedicated supporters that include Burke’s Home Center, Fulton Savings Bank, Wayne Drug’s, Planned Results, and Quaker Chemical. “Along with our returning major sponsors; Entergy, Exelon Generation, Burritt Motors, Novelis, and National Grid there are promises to make this year’s tournament one that golfers will be anxious to be a part of,” add McGrath.
To be held July 11th the United Way Golf Tournament offer two flights of golf, an 8:00 a.m. tee off and a 2:00 p.m. tee off. Registration for the four man captain and crew teams includes: golf cart, goodie bag, breakfast, snacks, and a chicken and steak lunch for the morning flight; Sandwiches, snacks and a chicken and steak dinner for the afternoon flight.
McGrath added that there are additional opportunities available for those interested in being a part of the tournament including foursomes, food and beverage and/or hole sponsorships. United Way is also accepting items for the silent auction that takes place immediately following the tournament, for businesses that would like to lend their support at that level. The deadline for registration is June 24th.
