Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C,I,Ref- Pulaski) today announced that he is pleased to have the support of local trade and construction organizations for his re-election to the 120th Assembly seat.
Leader Barclay received endorsements from the Central & Northern New York Building and Trades Council (CNNYBT), the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters and the Transportation Division of International Union, Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers.
“I’d like to thank the men and women of these incredible organizations for their confidence in me as the area’s representative in Albany,” said Leader Barclay. “The hard-working professionals in our local construction and trade industries bring dedication, expertise and ingenuity that keep our communities moving forward. I’m honored and grateful to have their support.”
The CNNYBT represents more than 5,000 workers in the Central and Northern New York areas. The North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters represents more than 28,000 members who work to create jobs and stimulate the economy through construction projects. In addition, the Transportation Division of the International Union, Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers represents several thousands of workers throughout the state.
In its endorsement letter, CNNYBT President Greg Lancette wrote, “It is with great pleasure that I would like to extend to you the endorsement of the management and 5,000 members of the Central & Northern New York Building Trades. We hope that our support will aide you in a successful campaign for the 120th District of the New York State Assembly.”
Barclay represents the 120th Assembly District, which includes the Oswego County towns of Albion, Amboy, Boylston, Constantia, Granby, Hastings, Mexico, New Haven, Orwell, Palermo, Parish, Redfield, Richland, Sandy Creek, Schroeppel, Scriba, Volney, West Monroe and Williamstown; the cities of Oswego and Fulton; the Onondaga County town of Lysander; and the Jefferson County town of Ellisburg. In January, he was elected unanimously by his colleagues as the Leader of the Assembly Minority Conference.
