TurnerLois 472x640     Lois J. Turner, 84 of Fulton, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 in Oswego, NY

     Born Lois Jean Redderoth on October 29, 1929, to Rudolph and Thusa Somers Redderoth in Orange, NJ, she graduated from Fulton High School in 1947 and she retired from Armstrong World Industries (Interface Solutions) in 1989. Lois was a long standing member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fulton where she was not only an Elder, but a member of the Synod and the budget committee. She served as church secretary for many years. Of all of her activities with the church, she loved nothing more than sharing her beautiful voice to celebrate her faith as a member of the church choir. When she was not busy with church and family, she enjoyed gardening, bird watching, working on genealogy and playing word games.

     She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Richard Redderoth, and a son, Robert W. Turner. She is survived by her brother Robert Redderoth of Liverpool, NY, and her sister Dorothy Pesco of Bedford, VA, and a very special cousin, Marilyn Jones of East Stroudsburg, PA. She is also survived by 6 children William T. (Janet) Turner of Matthews, NC; Barbara T. (John) Cummings of Appleton, WI; David R. (Veronica) Turner of Oswego, NY; Susan B. (Debra Helle) Turner of Colorado Springs, CO; John A. (Jeanine) Turner of Vienna VA; Patricia A. (Paul) Waelder of Syracuse, NY. Lois was also blessed with 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

     Services will be held at 11:00am on April 19th at the First United Church, 33 S. Third St, Fulton, NY. Visitation will precede the funeral service at 10AM and burial will follow at Mt Adnah Cemetery Fulton, NY. In lieu of flowers, Lois's family has asked that friends consider a donation in her name to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund (http://www.curealzfund.org) or another charity of their choice.
