Born in Oswego, She was a daughter of the late Laurence and Agnes (MacDonald) Forbes. She was a graduate of the Oswego High School, Class of 1961, and the Central Center Business Institute for Office Administration, Class of 1962.
She was a Transcriptionist for the University of Rochester Medical Center and was employed in the Psychiatry and Medical Records Departments. She was a member of the Oasis Senior Chorale and Covenant United Methodist Church where she sang in both of the choirs. She was an usher for the RBTL & Eastman School of Music.
Survived by her son, Michael (Jennifer) Schafer of Florida, one sister, Ann LeRoy of Scriba, a brother, Laurence (Marilyn) Forbes Jr. of Florida, two granddaughters Tara and Isabella, and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Lynn Forbes in 2022 and brother-in-law James (Garry) LeRoy in 2022.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for June 4 at 4 PM at Covenant Church, 1124 Culver Rd. Rochester NY 14609.
