Write a commentLouise A. Loftus, 82, a resident of Catherine Street in Oswego, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the Oswego Hospital, following a short illness.
Louise was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Leslie Warren, and the late Bertha Hogan Warren. She was a life resident of Oswego.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by various local businesses, including Green’s Department Store in Oswego.
Louise loved to attend yard sales, and spent many weekends travelling throughout Central New York visiting them.
She is survived by her loving partner of 46 years, William Caufield of Oswego; a brother, Jack (Evelyn) Hogan of Oswego; many nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Josie.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Loftus; a brother, Charles Hogan; and three sisters, Ann Prusch, Patricia Ketcham, and Theresa Hogan.
At Louise’s request, there will be no public services.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Louise loved animals. Memorial contributions can be made to the Oswego County Humane Society.
Arrangements are in the care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home in Oswego.
