Louise Kellogg honored as Oswego County's `Senior of the Year`

     Longtime community volunteer Louise Kelloggwas was honored by State Senator Patty Ritchie at the Senior Health and Wellness Fair, which took place Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Fulton War Memorial.

     Named the Oswego County "Senior of the Year," Kellogg has logged more than 4,000 volunteer hours. She volunteers regularly at Meadowbrook Manor, the Hannibal Senior Nutrition site, the Hannibal American Legion as well as a number of other organizations.
     "Louise is a great example of what it means to truly be part of a community," Ritchie said. "Her dedication to serving others is remarkable, and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to honor her as my Oswego County "Senior of the Year" at Wednesday's event."
     Ritchie will present Louise with her "Senior of the Year" award at the Oswego County Senior Health and Wellness Fair, taking place on Wednesday, October 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fulton War Memorial.
     The Oswego County Senior Health and Wellness Fair, a free event, featured more than 50 local organizations offering health tips, giveaways and more. A free lunch was provided, made possible by Pathfinder Bank, Hudsons' Dairy, Ontario Orchards, Behling Orchards, BOCES and Dunkin' Donuts. Transportation was sponsored by Entergy.
     Last month, more than 1,000 people attended Senator Ritchie's Jefferson County Senior Health and Wellness Fair. In addition to her Jefferson and Oswego County events, Senator Ritchie will also host a Senior Health and Wellness Fair in St. Lawrence County from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 23 at the Ogdensburg Oddfellows.
