Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Cuyler) Somers and was a graduate of St.Mary's School and the Oswego High School.
She was a homemaker and was a member Oswego Elk's Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, David (Mary Jo) Batchelor Jr. of Baldwinsville, Daniel Batchelor of Oswego, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, David Batchelor in 1986.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Arrangements are in care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.
