The H. Lee White Museum and Maritime Center, located on the West First Street Pier in Oswego's Historic Maritime District, is open from 1-5 p.m., Monday through Sunday throughout the year (extended during July and August).
The Museum Complex consists of a main building of exhibits highlighting more than 400 years of maritime history, the National Historic Landmark World War II Tug the "LT-5," New York State Derrick Boat 8 from the Canal System and Eleanor D, the last U.S. commercial fishing vessel to work Lake Ontario. Vessels are closed til spring. The locally built schooner Ontario is going into winter storage; watch for her spring return.
Admission is $7/adult, $3/teen, 12 and younger are free. The Treasure Chest Gift Shop is open during museum hours to browse for free.
