     CrucittiMartin Crucitti, 96, a resident of Walnut Street in Oswego, passed away, Tuesday, April 9, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

     Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Santo and Angelina (Migoli) Crucitti.

     Martin was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and served in the European Theater. He was a recipient of the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars and three Purple Hearts.

     Martin was a sheet metal worker for J & K, Northern Steel and Sheet Metal Workers 158.

     He was a hall of fame inductee race car owner, builder and driver of #11. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, the outdoors and gardening.

     Surviving is his wife, Virginia (Smith) Crucitti; one daughter, Angela (Angelo) Ferlito of Oswego; four sons, Thomas (Lois) of Connecticut, Martin "Rusty" S. (Linda), of North Carolina, Michael (Carol) and Rocky (Sandra), all of Oswego; one sister, Carmela Sverchek of Connecticut; 15 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

     Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Kenneth; and three sisters, Frances Kostek, Mary Rose Magnero and Rose Parkington; and his godmother, Archangela Bria.
     Services and burial will be held privately in St. Peter's Cemetery.
     Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 12, at the Nelson Funeral home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego
