Mary Ann (Wilson) Warner, 94, died peacefully in Oswego, on September 3, 2017.
A resident of Oswego since 1952, Mary Ann spent may years teaching elementary school in Hannibal and at the Campus School in Oswego.
She loved reading, golf, travel, crossword puzzles, and time shared with her friends and family. She was proud of her 60+ years of volunteer work with the Red Cross, as well as service with Meals on Wheels, and the Oswego public library.
She was a member of Faith United Church (formerly the Presbyterian Church) and served in several roles there, including Deacon.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Warner, of Fort Myers, FL, her son, Marc Warner and his wife Colleen (Kehoe), of Hannibal, NY, and her son Kent Warner, of Oswego, NY. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, K. White Warner.
We will miss her eternal sense of optimism, her outgoing friendliness, her witty sense of humor, and her acceptance of and compassion for others. She taught us the value of enduring faith, an attitude of gratitude, and quiet and determined persistence in the face of life’s challenges.
Calling hours will take place at Faith United Church, 12 Mark Fitzgibbons Dr. Oswego, from 3 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 7th. They will be followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to one’s charity of choice in Mary Ann’s name.
