Born in New York City, Margaret was the daughter of the late Gilbert R. and Margaret Hague Thomson.
Margaret was employed by SUNY Oswego as Director of Financial Aid.
Margaret enjoyed being in nature, painting, and spending time with family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 54 years, Scott J. Sternberg, as well as her son, Scott G. Sternberg (Kim) of Rochester, NY, her daughter, Susan Spink (Jon) of Rentz, GA, and six grandchildren: Emma, Jack, Nick, Joe, Ben, and James.
She is also survived by her brother, G. Robert Thomson of Rome, NY.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
