The sun shone on Mat Williamson on Monday afternoon, after a weekend filled with rain. Williamson won his third Billy Whittaker Cars 200 AND his first Salute To The Troops150, capping off a successful NAPA Super DIRT Week 51 at Oswego Speedway.

The St. Catherines, Ontario racer took home checks of $51,000 and $20,000 for his afternoon's work. In the Big Block Modified race, Williamson came home ahead of Max McLaughlin of Mooresville, NC and Mike Mahaney from Elizabethtown, NY. Super DIRT Series points leader Matt Sheppard finished 4th and defending Billy Whittaker 200 champ Stewart Friesen finished 5th.

Twenty four cars finished the 200-lap grind, with Tim Sears Jr., Erick Rudolph, Marc Johnson, Billy VanInwegen Jr. and Jack Lehner completing the top 10. Lehner, who hails from Saratoga Springs, gained 16 positions, coming all the way from 26th starting position.

Mat Williamson waged a race-long battle with Anthony Perrego of Walden, NY in the Salute To The Troops 150-lapper for 358 Modifieds that opened Monday's racing. Finally taking the lead for good only 16 laps from the end, Williamson led Perrego to the checkered flag. Marc Johnson of Guilderland, Stewart Friesen from Sprakers and Jimmy Phelps of Baldwinsville rounded out the top 5.

Max McLaughlin took a hard ride in the opening laps of the 358 Modified race, rolling his car several times after sliding up against the outside wall in turn one. McLaughlin was uninjured, and was able to recover for a strong second-place finish in the 200.

In the Chevrolet Performance 75-lapper for DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Nicholas Root and Matt Janczuk started in positions 1 and 2 on the front row. They reversed that order for the finish, with Janczuk of Oneida coming home ahead of Geneva's Root. Zach Sobotka, Richard Murtaugh and Jessica Power finished in third through fifth places.

In the only feature race able to run before the rains came in on Saturday, Luke Horning from Gloversville charged from his 7th place starting position to win the DIRTcar Pro Stock 25-lapped over Shane Playford and Devon Camenga.
