Move Along, Inc., CNY's adaptive sports organization, has used the downtime in recent months to plan and coordinate fundraising opportunities to allow everyone in the community to participate and enjoy adaptive sports and recreation.
“The game has changed, and with the strength of our community, we are working together to help Move Along stay strong and achieve our inclusive mission here in CNY! We are looking forward to hosting new and innovative inclusive programming in the future, and especially getting back into our local schools. Until then, join us virtually! This auction supports our mission and our local community, so bid now and bid often. We couldn’t do this without you!” said Greg Callen, Move Along’s Founder and Fundraising Chair.
# # # About Move Along, Inc.
With roots dating back to the Syracuse Flyers wheelchair basketball team founded in 1979, Move Along, Inc. provides and promotes inclusive adaptive sport and recreation opportunities for people with disabilities or mobility issues. Move Along offers seasonal and year-round programming in wheelchair basketball, sled hockey, adaptive on-road and off-road cycling, adaptive paddling, and adaptive tennis. When programming is not in session, equipment is available to community members who want to get out and move. Move Along, Inc. visits local schools to provide a taste of adaptive sports to all students through the Inclusive Sports Training service. Last year, we visited over 5,000 local students with over $65,000 of adaptive equipment for all to experience. Supporting Move Along is supporting people with disabilities, as well as supporting community inclusion. Join us at community programming, invite us to your school, and learn more about what Move Along can offer by visiting movealonginc.org.
