Write a commentOswego Kartway's Fall Frenzy Series, presented by RJ Kart Sales, took the green flag last Friday, Sept. 6, with Chris Natoli and Dick Dann driving to victory lane in the fall campaign's featured divisions.
Natoli bested a field of 12 Stock Heavy entrants to claim the opening win of the series, taking the top spot in the division standings. The former Oswego Speedway Small Block Supermodified driver started from the outside of row number one and charged on to the victory in the 25-lap main over Chris Knight, Matt Fay, John Stepien and Kylie Sanford.
All Stock Heavy drivers in attendance Friday are competing for four guaranteed positions in the RJ Kart Sales Fall Frenzy 100 at the Kartway Sept. 20. The top four in the series points after September 6 and September 13 will be locked into the money paying main event in two weeks.
Currently, Natoli holds the series lead over Knight, Fay, and Sanford with Stepien just one point out of a guaranteed starting position.
Richard Jordal, Caleb Sanford, Paul Fountaine and Ron Abbott are all within a mere 10-points of potentially collecting a Stock Heavy guaranteed position.
In Clone Heavy, it was Dann running away with the victory and the early series lead in search of an RJ Kart Sales Fall Frenzy 50 guaranteed spot. Dann led all 25-laps on the way to victory on Friday beating out Ricky Pritchard, Rusty Natoli, Ryan Coleman and Chris Knight.
Dann's victory puts him on top of the standings after week one with Pritchard, Natoli and Coleman completing the top four. Knight and Chris Natoli are within just two points of a qualifying position while regular season Clone Heavy champion Joe Hayden rides seventh in the order.
Chase Waite (Jr. Silver), Kyle Perry (Sr. Blue), Seth Baum (Jr. Blue), Alex McCrae (Clone Light), Larry Kaylor (Clone Super Heavy) and Tom Bradshaw (Open) were support division main events winners Friday.
The next event at Oswego Kartway will be round two of the RJ Kart Sales Fall Frenzy Series Friday, Sept. 13.
Pit gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with hot laps beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the first heat race at 7:30 p.m.
