Although the Friends of Oswego County Hospice have had to cancel almost all of their regularly scheduled fundraisers this year, they are ending the year strong thanks to many community supporters.

The Friends of Hospice are once again holding Hospice-tality events at local businesses throughout the month. Local restaurants have offered to donate a portion of their proceeds on the date of their choosing. Canale's Restaurant in Oswego, a long time participant of the Hospice Month fundraisers, will be starting the events on November 9th. They will be donating a portion of their proceeds from every order as long as customers present the coupon available on their Facebook page, “Friends of Oswego County Hospice”.

“Since the pandemic has had an impact on small businesses and not-for-profits alike, we are hoping these events will not only help the Friends of Hospice, but our beloved local businesses as well. We urge you to stop in and get a delicious meal or treat on the designated days.” Elena Twiss, Executive Director, Friends of Oswego County Hospice.

The following is the schedule of restaurants participating:

  • November 9th - Canale's Restaurant - Oswego
  • November 10th - Tavern on the Lock - Fulton
  • November 11th - Mimi's Drive In - Fulton
  • November 16th - Damiano's Eatery - Mexico
  • November 17th - Stone's Candies - Oswego 5-8pm
  • November 18th - Blue Moon Grill - Fulton

In November, the Friends of Oswego County Hospice will also be holding a virtual silent auction with many wonderful prizes and the third annual Deck the Halls for Hospice wreath raffle at local shops will also begin on November 21st.
