Following an intergalactic inspiration Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) has chosen the perfect date for its annual Bowl-A-Fun…May 4th.

In recognition of May the fourth, OCO’s Bowl-A-Fun will feature an intergalactic theme. Proceeds from the event will support OCO’s effort to do “whatever it takes” to help families succeed through empowerment, support, and connecting them with the resources that can help them do so.

One of Oswego County’s most anticipated spring events, OCO’s Bowl-A-Fun is a family friendly event that promises to be great time for both bowlers and spectators. “We encourage bowlers to fully embrace the event’s date of May the fourth and come dressed as your favorite science fiction character or your favorite super hero,” said OCO Development Coordinator Bridget Dolbear. “We’ve seen some cleverly dressed teams in the past. With such a wide theme we are looking forward to seeing just how creative this year’s participants can be.”

“For more than 52 years, OCO has been committed to fighting poverty and helping people thrive in a healthy and safe community,” said OCO Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier. “We exist to help families of all shapes and sizes succeed. No other nonprofit organization provides so many diverse services that address self-sufficiency, health, nutrition, housing, education, crisis intervention, transportation, and family and skill building. We invite community members, businesses, and organizations to join us for a fun day of bowling and help us in our effort to do ‘whatever it takes’ to help families succeed.”

Joining G & C Foods in supporting OCO’s Bowl-A-Fun are Silver Level Sponsors The Shineman Foundation, Community Bank, and Glider Oil.
