Write a commentI’d like to thank Will Barclay and the members of his office, especially Tyler. Their office took the time to listen to a major concern my family had regarding my intellectually disabled niece, who has recently lost her parent.
We had faced a decision to put her into a group home and had multiple questions and concerns regarding the process. In particular, we were concerned that she did not have a voice in her own future living situation and our family was being rushed to make an incredibly important decision.
Tyler took the time during a holiday week to contact multiple offices that I got a return call from. The NYS Department of Justice referred me to several other agencies to help with this matter—all on this holiday week.
Thank you for taking the time and the serious effort it took to listen and help one of your concerned constituents on such an urgent matter.
Your office was not the first that was contacted on this matter, but was the only one that made efforts on our behalf. Thank you, Mr. Assembly Minority Leader.
