CNY Arts Center is looking for 12 “angry” men and a room full of would-be artists to sip and paint their way through a fundraiser to kick off the New Year, all in the first week!

Paul McKinney, in his directorial debut with the Oswego Players, Inc. has announced that open auditions are being held on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 11 and 12 at 7 pm in the Frances Marion Brown Theater in the Oswego Civic Arts Center for Neil Simon's comedy, "Last of the Red Hot Lovers." The play will open the Oswego Players' 79th season of continuous community theater in Oswego.
Cheryl Arnold was the winner of the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s drawing for a ladies diamond ring. Arnold purchased her ticket at the United Way Stone Soup Luncheon in November.
The drawing, which is part of the United Way’s Annual Campaign, raised more than $1700 and made Christmas extra special for the lucky winner. The diamond ring was donated by DuFore’s Jewelry in Oswego.
Year after year the Novelis workplace campaign, among others, plays a vital role in the success of the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Annual Campaign. Thanks to the generosity of Novelis employees that tradition continued as this year’s workplace campaign, combined with a donor match from Novelis corporate, raised $110,648 in support of United Way.
Paul McKinney, in his directorial debut with the Oswego Players, has chosen Neil Simon’s hilarious comedy, “Last of the Red Hot Lovers.” The play, one of two Simon comedies being staged this year by the Players in honor of the playwright’s 90th birthday, will be performed on the stage of the Frances Marion Brown Theater in the Oswego Civic Arts Center at Fort Ontario, March 18, 19, 24, 25, 26.
The Oswego Children’s Theater will be hosting a second round of auditions for a teen production on Thursday February 16, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the home of Mosher Family located at 151 East Seneca Street, in Oswego. . This year’s production has yet to be announced and will depend on the number of teens participating. Auditions are open to all area youth aged 13 through 19 years of age.
The production is slated to be performed at the Michael J. Harms Theater Festival on the Auburn Campus of Cayuga Community College. This will be the seventh year that Oswego Children's Theater has participated in this event. Last year, the organization won an award for Best Performance by a Community Theater group as well as several individual awards.
The Michael J. Harms Theater Festival is an annual event sponsored by CNY ARTS providing a rare opportunity for theater kids to display their outstanding acting and technical achievement in front of their peers and professional theater practitioners.

In an effort to make their performances more accommodating to the Oswego theater-going audience, the Oswego Players have altered the days when they will be giving performances.
Oswego Players director, Rick Sivers, has announced that open auditions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, March 27 and 28 for the upcoming production of "My War With The United States." The comedy will be staged in May in the Frances Marion Brown Theater in the Oswego Civic Arts Center as part of the Bemelmans Festival.
The Oswego Players will show the film, “Oswego Discovers Itself” in the Frances Marion Brown Theater at the Oswego Civic Arts Center on Tuesday, April 11 at 7:30 pm. The showing will follow the Players’ regular monthly membership meeting to which the public is invited. The meeting begins at 7 pm.
