The Oswego County Early Childhood Alliance (OCECA) is proud to announce the official launch of Oswego County Help Me Grow (OCHMG).

The OCHMG system is aimed at promoting developmental advancement, detecting developmental delays and disabilities, and linking families to resources and services to support the healthy development of young children.

The launch event took place on May 7th at Curtis Manor in Oswego, marking a significant milestone in the OCECA’s commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive. The initiative is part of the Oswego County Early Childhood Alliance's mission to facilitate cross-sector engagement and collaboration among community organizations to build a comprehensive and effective early childhood system of care for children ages birth to five and their families.

Help Me Grow is designed to provide families with the support they need to navigate the early years of their children's lives. To ensure early intervention, OCHMG utilizes the ASQ-3 Developmental and ASQ:SE-2 Social-Emotional milestone surveillance tools.

"I would like to congratulate ICP [Integrated Community Planning] and the Oswego County Early Childhood Alliance program for their hard work and dedication to the children of Oswego County," said Jay Scanlon, Oswego County 16th District Legislator. "It is imperative that Oswego County has programs like this to help shape the minds of the young and provide services for parents and their children to live a long and healthy, successful life.”

Oswego County Help Me Grow is made possible through funding from The Health Foundation for Western and Central New York, as well as funding from the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, which is sub-contracted through Docs for Tots in Long Island, the HMG NYS Lead Affiliate. The Oswego County Early Childhood Alliance is funded through an ARPA grant from Oswego County.

Anyone can contact Oswego County Help Me Grow by calling 211 and asking for "Help Me Grow". Callers will then be transferred to the OCHMG Coordinator who will assist them with connecting to available resources and services that address their questions or concerns.
