Oswego County Workforce New York (OCWNY) presents its annual spring job fair on Thursday, May 22 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Crisafulli Ice Rink, 99 E. Ninth St., Oswego.
“OCWNY is excited to offer this opportunity for employers and job seekers to connect in person and discuss the experience and skills people can bring to the openings available at local businesses,” said Oswego County Department of Workforce Development Director Rachel Pierce. “Attendees can also learn about the employment and training services offered by OCWNY to job seekers and businesses, free of charge, to enhance their career options and workforce skill development.
“OCWNY will have information about its new program Oswego Build, a pre-apprenticeship training pathway to local union trades,” continued Pierce. “Registration is now open to attend an informational session.”
Job applicants will have the opportunity to meet with a variety of local employers and training institutions. OCWNY will have information available about additional services for job seekers such as resume assistance, online learning and funding options for training.
“Oswego Health values the opportunity to participate in the Oswego County Workforce job fairs,” said Oswego Health Talent Acquisition Manager Jennifer Baker. “It is truly rewarding to personally connect with potential candidates from our community and assist them in securing their desired employment.”
