The Oswego County Office for the Aging (OFA) presents a series of nutrition workshops for older adults to promote healthy eating and overall health i mprovement.

Classes are free for residents thanks to funding from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

“Good nutrition plays a critical role in maintaining health and independence as we age,” said OFA Director Sara Sunday. “With the support of SNAP, we are excited to offer engaging, hands-on workshops that empower older adults to make informed food choices and lead healthier lives.”

The workshops will provide older adults with practical tools and knowledge to improve their overall health through better nutrition. Participants will learn how to find their individual healthy eating style. Topics covered will include the benefits of eating a healthy diet, foods and beverages with healthier fats, less sodium and added sugar, and label reading.
